CFS (container freight station)

A CFS (container freight station) is a warehouse designated for consolidation and deconsolidation of cargo.

An LCL (less than container load) shipment will be taken to a CFS at origin in order to be consolidated

After the cargo arrives at it's destination port, it will be moved to another CFS for deconsolidation. Then LCL shipments will be picked up from the CFS for final delivery.
